Our Leadership Team
Tom SilkChief Executive Officer
Tom Silk left the mortgage industry to join WorkStride as its first salesperson in 2000. He proved instrumental in the early success of the company, bringing on customers such as Pepsico, Samsung, and Verizon Wireless. In 2004, Tom was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He then served as Chief Customer Officer for WorkStride, having facilitated the company's sale to The Riverside Company in 2012. He has expanded the sales team to include both channel partners and in-house representatives, built a marketing team, and formed distribution partnerships for the WorkStride platform. Today, Tom serves as Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership the company has grown from a small startup to serve more than 100 corporate customers, including several Fortune 500 companies. Tom has a BS in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Tom AlbanoChief Financial Officer
Tom Albano has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting. He joined WorkStride in January 2015 as Controller, responsible for monitoring and reviewing all day-to-day accounting functions. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in February 2017. Prior to joining WorkStride, he spent seven years at FalconStor as their Worldwide Corporate Controller, where he led the worldwide accounting team. Tom also spent six years at KPMG LLP, where he last served as a Manager in their audit practice primarily serving middle market public companies. Tom is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a BBA in Accounting from Hofstra University.
Nicholas PompaVice President, Engineering
Nick Pompa is a seasoned software engineer who has held positions of increasing responsibility during his tenure at WorkStride. Prior to his promotion to the leadership team, Pompa was on the product team acting as a Team Lead and Principle Architect of the WorkStride platform. He has spent the last four years dedicated to making WorkStride a best-in-class product inside its respected industry. Pompa has a BS in Computer Science from Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Sergio GomezVice President, Professional Services
Sergio Gomez has a legacy of leading high performing teams and driving key initiatives to improve the customer experience for both SMB and Fortune 500 clients. His vast customer success experience includes navigating complex implementations, building new service offerings, and improving operational models at high growth enterprise SaaS companies. Prior to joining WorkStride, Sergio was the Vice President, Customer Success at Betterworks and held positions of increasing responsibility at Medallia and American Express. Sergio has his BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Stanford University.
Vince ChiofoloVice President, Revenue Operations
Vince Chiofolo has years of experience strategically managing functions that drive revenue and rapid business growth. He oversees the Revenue function at WorkStride, which includes Direct Sales, Demand Generation, Marketing, Sales Development, and Client Strategy. Vince has spent the last 5 years dedicated to driving business development efficiency, transparency, and growth at WorkStride. He has a BA in Marketing from Hofstra University.
Brian DoddsVice President, Sales
Brian has over 25 years experience helping clients to determine best in class solutions to drive employee engagement and improve company culture. Brian prides himself on building client success stories across all industry verticals. As past President and Director of Education of the Recognition Professionals International (RPI), Brian has served the industry for over a decade and brings a wealth of industry knowledge. He has a BS in Psychology from Texas Tech University.
Joanne GadsonHR Business Partner
Joanne Gadson has over 20 years’ human resources experience in the pharmaceutical, consumer packaged goods, and software industries, holding positions of increasing responsibility during her tenure. Prior to joining WorkStride, she was Senior Director, Human Resources for Antenna Software. Joanne is a strategic business partner with the innate ability to understand high-level business objectives and translate them into an HR strategy that will achieve them. She has expertise in the areas of performance management, employee relations, full cycle recruiting across functions, and employee coaching and counseling. Joanne has her BBA in Finance and Banking, with a concentration in Psychology, from Hofstra University.
