CorporateRewards, a leading provider of employee recognition and incentive software, today announced that Chris Gobalakrishna has been named Chief Financial Officer, reporting to CEO Jim Hemmer.
Chris has more than 20 years of financial management experience in media, digital advertising, e-commerce, and technology. Most recently he served as CFO of Univision Digital, where he transformed the company’s financial operations to support the growing digital business. Chris also acted as CFO of Univision Enterprise Development, which was focused on identifying and incubating new business opportunities across the company’s diverse portfolio of brands.
Before joining Univision Chris led the finance function at Sony Music’s Global Digital Business for seven years as it grew tenfold to more than $1 billion in annual revenues. Chris holds a BS in Economics and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
“Chris is an extremely strong executive with solid financial and strategic planning skills,” said CEO Jim Hemmer. “His keen analytical insight and operational expertise along with prior success in organizations that used technology to disrupt established business models made him a great fit. CorporateRewards is in a similar position, emerging as a leader in an industry that is just starting to look beyond merchandise and points to technology solutions like WorkStride to help companies change the way they recognize and incentivize employees.”
Chris is excited about his new role at CorporateRewards.
“I am thrilled to join a company that’s an innovator and trailblazer in the employee reward, recognition and incentive space,” said Gobalakrishna. “I am looking forward to partnering with this top-notch leadership team to grow the business by helping our clients reinforce the mission, goals, and culture that drive their success.”
